Clipperz introduces card templates

We recently released a new version of Clipperz online password manager with an improved interface for the card creation process. We introduced the concept of card template that enables Clipperz users to save their confidential data into Clipperz by simply filling out a card already configured with a pre-defined set of fields.

As an example if you choose the “Credit card” template, your newly created card is ready to accept the credit card number, the owner name, the expiry date, the CVV2 code, …

Selecting a template is very convenient and does not pose any limit to the intrinsic flexibility of cards: you can always add or delete fields at any time.

If you need to store credentials for a web account, you may use the “Direct login” template together with the Clipperz bookmarklet. Follow the steps below and a new card complete with a “direct login” link to your web service will be created.

  1. Open the web page where you usually enter your login credentials.
  2. Launch the Clipperz bookmarklet, a pop-up window will appear over the web page.
  3. Copy to the clipboard the content of the large text area within the pop-up.
  4. Click the Add new card button.
  5. Select the “Direct login” template and paste the content of the clipboard.
  6. Press the Create button, review the content of each field, then click Save.
